New state senator receives award

State Senator Allison Ikley-Freeman, received the Sandite Pacesetter Award at the July 1st Board Meeting. While having just completed her second term in the legislature, she's been a champion of public education and been quick to listen and seek out school staff to learn of critical issues for public schools.

Superintendent Durkee reflects, "Senator Ikley-Freeman takes the role seriously and studies each issue, keeping the opinions of her constituents in mind when deciding her vote on a particular issue."

We are very grateful for her service and support!
