Charles Page High School student, Grace Miller was presented with the Sandite Spirit Award at tonight's Board of Education meeting for the creation of her initiative to combat bullying and provide valuable resources to victims.
Grace was nominated by Charles Page High School Principal Stan Trout. After experiencing bullying herself as a Sophomore in high school, she decided to channel that experience into a way for victims to find help by developing a website (https://sites.google.com/view/teenstryingtoendharassment). Trout and Superintendent Sherry Durkee both commended Grace for her efforts and rising above a horrible experience and doing something about it for others.
