Sandite senior football player, Stephen West, received the Sandite Spirit Award on Monday, March 4th at the Sand Springs School Board Meeting. Coach Dustin Kinard, who nomimated him for the award, cites Stephen as a positive inspiration, who never had a negative attitude about practice or gameplay, in spite of battling diabetes throughout the process.
