Tell us about yourself.

Grew up and graduated from Yukon High School, where I played basketball and competed in High School Rodeo. I graduated from Oklahoma State University, with a degree in Animal Science (Business) and I was also a member of the OSU Rodeo Team, where I competed in Team Roping and Steer Wrestling. Before I got into teaching I was a sales rep for a clothing company Cinch/Cruel Girl jeans and shirts and managed a Western Store for 2 1/2 years.

What hobbies do you enjoy?

Going to Lake or floating the Illinois River. When I get to, I enjoy riding horses, roping, sitting on the porch/deck grilling and spending time with family and friends.

Where did you attend high school?

Yukon High School

What extra-curricular activities were you involved in when you were in high school?

Basketball and High School rodeo

How long have you been in education?

This is the start of my 17th year

What/who inspired you to become a teacher?

I wanted to be a basketball coach and I wanted to teach math. When I managed the Store, I was surprised how many people struggle with doing basic math principles involving money.

If you weren't in education, what other career would you want to have?

I would probably be in sales (Sports Equip/Uniforms)

Where is the best place you've traveled to and why?

San Diego, CA. Coronado Beach and the city is just awesome and laid back and relaxing. The Naval dock and museum is pretty neat as well.
