Staff Spotlight

Tell us about yourself.

I'm from Sand Springs, and I grew up in the country between Sand Springs and Mannford. I am an only child. I love all music - especially country music. I'm an optimistic and typically happy person, a child at heart, and I love to have fun. I was always a tomboy growing up, and not much has changed now. I can be sarcastic, and make a lot of jokes, but that's how you can tell you're my friend!

What hobbies do you enjoy?

Spending time with my friends and family, cooking/baking, exercising by running or CrossFit, going on roadtrips, going to the lake and river, going to sporting events and concerts, mudding, 4-wheeling, camping, and basically any outdoors activity.

Where did you attend high school?

Moriah Christian Academy

What extra-curricular activities were you involved in when you were in high school?

Church-related activities like worship band, and always running. When I got my license I started working a lot, so the extracurricular stuff stopped at that point.

Where did you attend college?

OSU - the happiest place on earth!

What is the best thing about working in the Sand Springs school district?

Besides it being my home - there some amazing people in this district and they really care about everyone - both teachers and students. Everyone has a chance to succeed at whatever they're passionate about.

What advice do you have for high school students?

Find out what you're passionate about and work hard to chase it. Don't get caught up in what people think of you - be yourself.

If you weren't in education, what other career would you want to have?

a firefighter or a sports physical therapist
