The 5th graders at Garfield have been busy exploring the exciting world of matter! They discovered how a liquid can change into a gas through a chemical reaction—and it was anything but boring. With vinegar and baking soda sealed inside Ziploc baggies, the reaction built up so much gas that the bags expanded until… POP! The students were filled with excitement as science literally came to life before their eyes!
