Garfield STEAM Academy recently hosted an exciting Glow-in-the-Dark Reading Night that brought literacy to life in a fun and engaging way. Families explored a variety of interactive activities designed to build reading skills while having fun together. Students practiced letter formation using glowing sensory bins, read books under black lights, and hopped through a glow-in-the-dark hopscotch game featuring sight words. There were also opportunities to play Scrabble and participate in a glow-in-the-dark scavenger hunt around the room. The event created a lively atmosphere where students could strengthen their reading skills, spark their curiosity, and share the joy of reading with their families.
