making banner

Our Spanish I students recently spent several days creating colorful crafts in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month! From papel picado banners to worry dolls and mexican flowers, students learned about the rich history and cultural significance behind each design while bringing vibrant creativity to their projects.

These hands-on activities helped students connect classroom learning with real-world culture — celebrating the beauty, traditions, and artistry found throughout Spanish-speaking countries. The halls were full of color, culture, and ¡mucho orgullo! (lots of pride!)
