Two of Ms. Brice’s Hospitality & Tourism students recently had the opportunity to put their classroom skills into action during the Sandites’ home varsity football game against Owasso.
Sophomore Chelsie Carey and freshman Rylee Armstrong volunteered in the hospitality suites and Variety Club, helping prepare and serve catered meals for guests. Before the event, both students received volunteer food handler permits through Tulsa County, giving them the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with food preparation, service, and hospitality.
Experiences like this allow students to take what they are learning in the classroom and apply it in a real-world setting while serving their school community.
Great job, Chelsie and Rylee!
