Hispanic Heritage crafts

Students in Spanish classes at Charles Page Freshman Academy celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a colorful, hands-on activity that brought creativity and cultural appreciation into the classroom.

As part of the celebration, students created vibrant tissue paper flowers, a craft inspired by traditional Mexican paper flower decorations. Working with colorful paper and other craft supplies, students assembled their own flowers, filling the room with bright colors and creative designs.

The activity offered students an opportunity to explore a cultural tradition while working together and expressing their creativity. From carefully assembling their flowers to proudly showing off their finished creations, students enjoyed a hands-on experience that went beyond the textbook.

National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed September 15 through October 15, recognizes the histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.

Activities like this help students connect classroom learning with cultural traditions and gain a greater appreciation for the diverse cultures represented throughout the Spanish-speaking world.
