Reminder - We regret to inform you that we will be unable to serve lunch for the families of students on Thanksgiving or Christmas this year. This is due to a turkey production issue with our supplier. While there will be enough food for the students, there will not be enough to serve the families.

Students can participate by wearing - Monday, Oct. 28th - Wear Red Tuesday, Oct. 29th - Wear a Team Shirt or Sandite Shirt Wednesday, Oct. 30th - Wear Pajamas (Make sure students wear school-appropriate shoes with their pajamas.) The annual Boy's Halloween Dance is on Thursday, Oct. 24th, from 6-7 p.m. Boys can bring one adult guest. A flyer came home Monday, and one is posted on Garfield STEAM Academy's Facebook page. See you there!!

Monday, Oct. 14th is Game Night for the entire family at Garfield from 3:30-5:30 pm in the Cafeteria. The Book Fair will be open also.

It's time for the Boy's annual Halloween Dance. Only boys who attend Garfield can attend the dance. Boys can bring one adult guest. Costumes are encouraged but not mandatory. All costumes must be appropriate for elementary school. Look for the flyer in your student's Thursday folder coming home today.

Coffee and Conversation @ Garfield
Join us for a casual and engaging morning at Sand Springs Public Schools' Coffee and Conversation. This is a unique opportunity for parents, families, and community members to meet with Superintendent Sherry Durkee and her cabinet members during an easy-going coffee hour. Attendees will have the chance to discuss topics of interest, share feedback, and connect directly with district leadership.
This event will happen at a different school site every month. This month's event will be held at Garfield. Garfield parents/guardians are encouraged to attend, but everyone in the SSPS district is welcome.

Reminder the Oklahoma Caring Van will be here at 10:30 on Oct. 7th. Students who have permission slips filled out and signed by parents will be the only students to receive the flu immunization. The forms were sent home in Thursday folders.
