Page Academy students recently released 104 trout into the Illinois River near Gore after spending months raising them in their classroom. Since October, students have been observing the trout’s growth and learning about each stage of development along the way.
During the trip, students also enjoyed a nature hike, learned how to tie flies, and even had the chance to try fly fishing for themselves. It was a great day of hands-on learning and outdoor exploration!
