This afternoon, Sand Springs Public Schools revealed the names of 10 eighth graders who were accepted into “TCC EDGE: Earn a Degree, Graduate Early,” a partnership between SSPS and Tulsa Community College. The EDGE program will allow these students to graduate high school with both a high school diploma and associate degree at no cost to the student. Upon graduation, students are on their way to a bachelor’s degree two years ahead of their peers.

The selected students will begin their college preparatory classes in ninth grade. In grades 10 – 12, they will earn college credits. TCC provides college experiences designed especially for these students—college orientations, workshops, sessions with TCC and university advisors—to support them as they advance toward their associate degree.

This is Sand Springs' third year to participate in this program. Congratulations to this year’s cohort!
