Chromebook 1:1 in Sand Springs Public Schools

Beginning in the 2022 - 2023 school year, all 6th-12th grade students at Sand Springs Public Schools are issued a Chromebook. These Chromebooks not only integrate technology into students' education, but also provide additional opportunities for students to collaborate, communicate, create, and apply critical thinking skills in their learning experiences.

Chromebooks can be used anywhere and anytime, if connected to Wi-Fi.
Some apps allow offline use if the internet is not available at home, meaning students can still engage in the learning process.

Chromebooks are filtered using web filtering software to ensure the privacy and safety of all students.
This is further outlined in district policy and by FERPA/CIPA requirements.

Students and parents are responsible for the care or any damage to the Chromebook.
Insurance is available to cover the cost of repairs or damage to the Chromebook. Click here to learn more.

Students are expected to abide by district policy.
This expectation is in regards to acceptable use, when using the Chromebook at school and at home. Click here to learn more.
