This month, Sand Springs Public Schools hosted 21st Century Community Learning Center directors from districts across the state, as well as Oklahoma State Department of Education employees who oversee the program. During this meeting, directors discussed grant writing, educational programs, and highlighted how SSPS utilizes the 21st Century grant.
The 21st Century grant program supports high-need schools in meeting academic standards by providing services to students and their families during out-of-school hours. At SSPS, these services include our after school and summer learning programs. During the meeting, our 21st Century Director Jamie Conrad shared innovative strategies for making summer fun while achieving learning goals.
