Congratulations to Pratt Elementary students Mia Firey, Mariah Light, Shelby Taylor, Piper Taylor, and Mila Morrow for taking home First Place in the Battle of the Books!
In the Battle of the Books, students from each Sand Springs Public Schools elementary site put their reading to the test. Each school sent two teams of five students to compete. In preparation for today’s event, these teams read several assigned books in only a few months. Then the teams went head-to-head in a bracket and were quizzed on things that happened in the books they read. Mia, Mariah, Shelby, Piper, and Mila (a.k.a. Team Cocomelon) earned the most points in today's tournament.
Well done to everyone who competed! These students worked hard for months to get ready for the Battle of the Books, and we are so proud of their dedication.
