At the May Sand Springs Board of Education meeting, the board presented 10 eighth graders with the Sandite Spirit Award.
These students received the award in recognition of their recent acceptance into the Tulsa Community College EDGE: Earn a Degree, Graduate Early program. The TCC EDGE program will allow these students to graduate high school with both a high school diploma and associate degree at no cost to the student. Upon graduation, these students will be on their way to a bachelor’s degree two years ahead of their peers.
