Big congratulations to Taylor, a fifth grader at Northwoods Fine Arts Academy, whose artwork was selected to be featured on a Sand Springs trash truck! Chosen out of 32 student submissions, Taylor’s design will travel all over town as part of a public education effort led by the Sand Springs Stormwater Department. The project is designed to raise awareness about pollution prevention and highlight the creativity of local students.
Taylor was also honored at the regular April Sand Springs City Council Meeting, where the Stormwater Department presented her with her framed poster.
This trash truck will be on display at the Sand Springs Truck Touch this Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Be sure to stop by and support our Sandites!
