Over the past year, Bob Jackson has been a cornerstone of the district’s successful fiber project, a transformative initiative that began in spring 2024 and reached completion in June 2025. Jackson devoted countless hours to preparing network switches, ensuring the upgrade rolled out smoothly across all major sites.

Thanks to his tireless work and vision, SSPS now enjoys a 10-gigabit connection, a long-time goal that Jackson championed with determination. His leadership and persistence have elevated the district’s technology infrastructure, paving the way for stronger learning opportunities and seamless connectivity for students and staff alike.

Jackson’s commitment is a shining example of how one individual’s passion can push an entire organization forward.

Leading with Positivity and Precision

This summer, Cayla Wilson played a key role in the complex integration of the district’s Access Control and Alarm systems. From June onward, she worked tirelessly to ensure that every individual had the correct access permissions across both the old and new systems—a monumental task requiring incredible attention to detail.

What set Wilson apart was not only her technical skill but also her unwavering positivity and cooperative spirit. Even during long hours and high-pressure moments, she approached challenges with grace and determination, helping everyone involved feel supported and confident.

Wilson's contributions ensured a successful transition that directly benefits the safety and security of our schools.
