Yesterday, Sand Springs was proud to host Pages Across the Plains, a regional literacy workshop presented by the Oklahoma State Department of Education's HEROES Literacy Instructional Team at Charles Page Freshman Academy.

Educators, instructional coaches, administrators, and literacy leaders from across the region gathered to deepen their understanding of evidence-based literacy instruction aligned to the Science of Reading. Participants explored practical strategies to support young readers, connected with fellow educators, and discovered valuable resources and community partners dedicated to improving literacy outcomes for Oklahoma students.

We are grateful to OSDE and the HEROES Literacy Team for bringing this important professional learning opportunity to our community and for their continued commitment to helping every child become a confident, successful reader.

A special thank you to the vendors and volunteers who helped make yesterday's event a success. Your time, expertise, and support provided valuable resources and connections for educators from across the region.

Thank you to everyone who attended and invested their time in strengthening literacy instruction for Oklahoma students!
