SAND SPRINGS, Okla.— Sand Springs Public Schools (SSPS) received 418 new books through the 2026 Books-A-Million Summer Book Drive, thanks to the generosity of local shoppers and the district’s partnership with Books-A-Million at Tulsa Hills.
The book drive was held July 19 through August 16, 2026. During the drive, customers at the Tulsa Hills Books-A-Million were invited to purchase new books and place them in a donation bin benefiting SSPS.
The donated books will be used to help stock a new mobile library currently being developed by the district. The mobile library will provide another way for SSPS to connect students with books and expand access to literacy opportunities throughout the community.
SSPS thanks Books-A-Million at Tulsa Hills and each community member who contributed to the drive. Their support will help the district continue encouraging reading and fostering a lifelong love of learning among Sandite students.
More information about the district’s mobile library will be shared as the project develops.
