This morning, Sand Springs Public Schools had the honor of hosting State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister at Sandite Summer Camp. Sandite Summer Camp is a full-day program for students in grades pre-K – 8. During Hofmeister’s visit, SSPS Superintendent Sherry Durkee gave a tour of learning activities at the Sixth Grade Center and Northwoods Fine Arts Academy.
Sandite Summer Camp is part of the “Ready Together Oklahoma” action plan. The camp is designed to give students a head start on learning for the 2021-2022 school year while offering enrichment activities and field trips. Supt. Durkee announced the camp in May alongside Supt. Hofmeister.
