At the November Sand Springs Board of Education meeting, the board presented the Sandite Spirit Award to Bryce Porter, Emma Hamby, Hailee Beard, Kaylee Hall, Jack Wright, Levi McBride, Maci Taylor, Kaitlynn Roberts, and Miyah Blacet.

These students comprise the Health Occupations Student Association (HOSA) at Charles Page High School, and they are enrolled in the @Project Lead the Way Biomedical Sciences program. CPHS Principal Stan Trout nominated the group for representing SSPS at the Oklahoma HOSA Leadership Conference in Stillwater.

In his nomination form, Mr. Trout states, “Under the leadership of Matthew Watkins and Atticus Dellinger, these students are leading the way in demonstrating the type of focus that is required of students in a career pathways model… All of us at CPHS are proud of these students for blazing the trail for both STEM education and focus on a career pathway.”

Thank you to these outstanding students for showing what it means to be a Sandite! #FocusForward22
