Sand Springs Public Schools

On Monday, October 1st, the Sand Springs School Board recognized Elizabeth Watts and August Nielsen for qualifying as National Merit Semi-Finalists.  In order to qualify for this honor, students must score within the top 1% of American high school Seniors on the PSAT/NMSQT test in their Junior Year.  Elizabeth Watts is pictured at left with Board Member Mike Mullins.  The family of August Nielsen accepted her award for her, as she could not attend due to a conflict with an Academic Team competition.  Both students were nominated for the Sandite Spirit Award by Principal Stan Trout.
