Students at Charles Page High School (CPHS) donated $10,000 to Sand Springs Community Services (SSCS), a nonprofit organization that assists residents experiencing economic crisis. CPHS Student Council raised funds during GOLD (Give Often, Love Deeply) Week through several endeavors, including a snow cone sale, bake sale, a field day event, and much more.
In a Facebook post Thursday, SSCS stated that the donated funds will “be used to continue to serve the most vulnerable in the community, and in the spirit of Charles Page, to give a hand up, not just a hand out.”
