At the July Sand Springs Board of Education meeting, the board presented the Sandite Pacesetter Award to Director of Transportation Jennifer Cummings.
Mrs. Cummings was nominated by Superintendent Sherry Durkee for earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration this May. Mrs. Cummings earned this degree, as well as a certificate in Analytics, from Northeastern State University while working full-time and attending to her family at home. In her nomination form, Supt. Durkee stated that Mrs. Cummings' "positive attitude and tremendous character are evident with every decision she makes and every obstacle she encounters."
Mrs. Cummings is continuing her education with the goal of earning a Master's in Business Administration.
