During the August Sand Springs Board of Education meeting, the board presented the Sandite Spirit Award to Mr. Brian Jackson. He was nominated by Superintendent Sherry Durkee for his work with the Sand Springs Rotary Club to give our new teachers a “Welcome Pack” every year. These packs include items and gift cards worth over $200. Mr. Jackson also organizes the Rotarian luncheon to welcome new teachers.
In her nomination form, Supt. Durkee writes that partners like him help our district succeed.
