Senior Nate Bolte and Teacher Jessica Sprague observe 3D printer

A 3D resin print model of a 20-week gestational fetal heart is now complete. CPHS senior Nate Bolte began designing the model in 2021 under the guidance of teacher Mrs. Jessica Sprague. CPHS junior Jayden Reeder was also instrumental in technical assistance and troubleshooting for the 3D resin printer.

The finished heart model will be used at Warren Clinic Maternal Fetal Medicine as a visual aid when training residents and sonographers, as well as patient education relating to fetal heart defects and development.

Thank you to KJRH's Naomi Keitt for highlighting this project.
