The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence recently visited Limestone Technology Academy to celebrate Ms. Barbie Jackson! OFE announced in February that Ms. Jackson is this year's recipient of the Oklahoma Medal for Excellence in Elementary Teaching.
This prestigious award includes a $5,000 cash prize. Ms. Jackson, who runs the monarch butterfly waystation program at Limestone, says she'll use the prize to visit Mexico's monarch sanctuary. She plans to bring back photos, videos, and firsthand knowledge from her trip to use as teaching tools.
