Video scoreboard with graphic saying "Welcome to Memorial Stadium Home of the Sandites"

Sand Springs Public Schools remains committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone attending athletic events. Please remember the following procedures are in place for football games and other athletics events hosted at Sand Springs:

1. Metal Detectors

All attendees must pass through walk-through or hand-held metal detectors at entry—no exceptions.

2. Smoke-Free, Tobacco-Free

Tobacco products, simulated tobacco products, and vape devices are prohibited on school property. Metal detectors will alert staff to vape products. If a vape product is found, you will be asked to return it to your vehicle.

3 Student ID Required

Students in grades 6–12 must present a school ID at entry unless accompanied by a parent/guardian. This applies to both Sand Springs and visiting students.

4. Middle School Section

Middle school students have a designated seating area at Memorial Stadium home games, unless accompanied by a parent/guardian. This section, above the high school student section on the north end, is clearly marked and monitored by SSPS employees.

5. Parent/Guardian Supervision

Students in grades PK–5 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

6. Third-Party Students

Students under 18 who do not attend one of the schools playing must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Students 18 and older may attend unaccompanied and are held to the same expectations as any adult.

7. Clear Bags Only

Only clear bags are allowed for students, staff, parents, and visitors. Medical cases (insulin, EpiPens, etc.) are permitted but subject to inspection.

8. Additional Staff

Games have an increased presence of SSPS staff in easily identifiable uniforms.

9. Gate Security

Security personnel are stationed at each entrance.

10. See Something, Say Something

Spectators are encouraged to report suspicious activity. Staff and security are available, and STOPIt Anonymous Reporting App signage is posted throughout the stadium.

11. No Re-Entry

Once you leave the stadium, re-entry is not permitted.

Reminder: These procedures are in addition to established rules, such as the prohibition of weapons, alcohol, and similar items.

Students asked to leave an event will not be allowed to attend future athletic events at any SSPS campus for the remainder of the school year.
