Charles Page High School senior Sophia Hart has been named an Academic All-State honoree by the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, earning recognition as one of the top 100 high school seniors in Oklahoma.
Hart shines both in the classroom and in competition. She serves as goalkeeper for the Varsity Girls Soccer team and has played the sport for 14 years. She is also a member of the Lady Sandites Powerlifting team and recently qualified for the state meet. She will travel to Durant on Monday to compete at the state level.
Her favorite subjects are science and math—areas where she clearly stands out. “Sophia is one of the most brilliant minds to step foot in my classroom,” said CPHS Algebra II/Geometry teacher Monica Graves. “What a well-deserved honor!”
As an Academic All-State honoree, Hart will receive a $1,500 merit-based cash award, honor cord, and medallion. In order to be considered for the honor, students must be currently enrolled Oklahoma public high school seniors who meet at least one of the following criteria:
Composite ACT score of at least 30
Combined SAT Evidence-Based Reading & Writing and Math score of at least 1370
National Merit Scholarship Program semifinalist
Hart’s future is looking just as bright as her achievements to date. She has been offered full-ride scholarships from both the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University. She plans to double major in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
Charles Page High School and the entire Sand Springs community celebrate Hart’s outstanding accomplishment and look forward to seeing what she achieves next.
